i dont take pictures. or it is more, i dont take good pictures. i am more like one of those annoying girls in the movie theater who takes a picture by turning the camera around to get a shot of me and my friends before the production.
when i try to be creative i use photoshop. i take the red-eye tool and makemyself look demonic.
me and the camera is not friends.
i paint... pretty well.... but i dont.
i write pretty well, so i do.

california.
HM is having this all-american theme these days and it has me struggling to hold back the tears.
I don't quite remember arriving in california that first day; but i do remember the harmony.
I remember my first dinner at Chili's restaurant and how lively it was. American's are obnoxious and loud.
I can still smell the dry heat and the palm trees, and taste the banana slurpee on my tongue.
I remember my first day of school believing that i would be just fine all by myself, and then asking the teacher at the end of the day what the word 'read' ment. Needless to say I was fine ;)
California is the most all-american you can get for a european; it is how we picture it. the hills of san-fransisco and the flags floating outside the pastel colored houses.
I remember the long drive we took between concord and dallas, texas. I remember how cold it was in comparison. I sat at lunch at my new school every day, picturing what it would be like to return home to norway. the day we did was the best day of my life.
I remember the day we moved to florida. i remember the day laura left me standing at the airport while she returned to norway without me.
i remember doing something for the first time on my own. then we moved to north carolina, and i did it all over again.
i liked the bible belt...i remember my first day in our house and neighbors knocking at our door pulling me to church with them. i liked bible study.
tennessee was the same...but by being there so long i began to see through the bible belt and after numerous years of bible school and camp i decided transformed was as far as it would go for me. transformed, with their mission trips, choir, and shananagans. the old transfromed.

blowjob

have you seen this beautiul new portrait againts smoking?
i saw this in VG today and it gave me a pretty good laugh!
what lengths will they go to, to ensure that people realize the seriousness of smoking?
((and all this picture is saying is that secondhand smoking is an enjoyable experience. hence the guy getting his 'cigarette' blown...i never heard that was a terrible experience.))
I mean, I think smokers got the point already. they havent quit yet.

so third on the olympic metal list? not bad at all... but a tad worse than i expected. i mean, was there not a young gentleman who promised so many gold metals? hmmm, i guess there's a reason i forgot his name. yawn.
the blizzard seems to be slowing down but the subway is still being a pain in the arse, so i think taking the bus to work tomorrow will be a more promising choice.

Sonia Rykiel
Although her underwear line didnt make as big of a statement in the fashion world as HM originally thought... they are obviously hoping that her second line of women and children's clothing will be a bigger hit with the public.
The collection is 'french' inspired in my opinion...with classy pieces with lots of flare and bright colors.
you should check it out at HM.com
However, in bigger hm news... there is another line coming out this spring called the 'garden collection'....cheap summer clothes made from organic and recycled materials. this collection is amazing...with beautiful floral dresses and flowy tops. you can find it at hmthegardencollection.com

she has my dress. i like the way she wore it though, -with the belt.
i have to admit id like to wear it like that too, however i think it may be a tad too short for an outing.

FAGGOT
i want to write this purely for the purpose of my best friend.
I am a supporter of free will and think that people should be able to marry whomever they choose; should that make that person gay it will be their choice.
I, personally, at the same time call myself a christian, and it is through the bible that i have learned to love my neighbors and not judge them for their PERSONAL decisions.
gay marriage was legalized in january of 2009 here in norway which is not very long ago... but that it has been done is great. However, since the year 2000 the number of muslim communities have increased by 40 percent.
if you werent aware...muslims hate gays more than a southern baptist. they believe that gays should be stoned.
Apparently gays are being attacked on the streets by muslims claiming the land is theirs... and a man woke up in the hospital after a party with his face burned off due to being gay.
And during their 'peaceful' demonstartion against 'dagblandet' newspaper, in oslo, this past week the main man made the, uncalled for, statement that the appropriate punishment for gays should be death.
so is this the norway i returned to? one that is more corrupt than where i came from.
i hope our government wont continue to stand for this sort of behavior and that some hardcore jailtime will be handed out soon.
(( did i mention that no one ever got punnished for putting that mans' face on fire?... because the police had to wait until after easter to start their job!?!?))
im all for immigration; what i am not for is running from your third world country to turn your escape into the trash you came from.
-all information is from VG over the past few weeks. thanks for keeping the public updated. :)

Customer Service
beep. beep...beep.
'youre total comes to 565 kroner'
.......'no sale !?!....i dont want it.'
staring at the dark face in front of me and listening to her horrible accent makes me want to spit in her face. i want to throw every single item at her and tell her to put all the shit back where she found it. but instead i smile and tell her to have a nice day.
because that is what you do when the customer is always right and youre the dumb slave that works for her.
I think that business shouldnt work that way... if i owned a store any person who gave my employees shit would be kicked out on their asses and ...there would never ever be a sale.
but this is exactly why i dont have a store and why i work at someone elses.
i love my job, truly. but i doubt the service industry was made for me.
I'm going to an education fair tomorrow, down in oslo spectrum. you might have had one of the posters hit you in the head while you took the bus the past few days. or just seen them hanging around.
if you text them with your email address you get free entrance. its worth a shot if its free, right??
so go, if you dont want to be folding clothes the rest of your life. and if you enjoy your job in the service industry, go so you can get the education needed to work your way to the top :)

lesson 3: dress your personality
That's the H&M motto.
Just so you're aware this spring season has four different looks.
All-american,
with basic classic pieces. think stripes, diners, roadtrips, preps and jocks. Lot's of olive greens and light blue.
Floral Garden.
Think hippie meets marie antoinette. Lots of floral prints with bright hues like orange and purple.
Future mod.
Retro gwen stefani, japan.
Bright RayBans and sneakers are hot. big shirts with tiny loud shorts.
World safari.
My fav.
This still has the hippie feel. But more of a living out of your backpack mixed with high fashion.
A lot of earth tones.

mmmm. liver

Now if you really want to be a true european you should try some liver pate.
Think it sounds gross? well, the good news is, it tastes delish and doesnt look that bad.
So here we go.
Buy yourself a french baguette, ciabatta, or just regular whole grain bread.
You should also consider the following : tomatoes, pickles, lettuce, and mushrooms.
The main part is the liver pate, the baguette, and BACON!
crunchy, tasty, right off the stove, bacon.
Just toast the bread, heat up the baguette/ciabatta. Spread on the pate as much as desired...and all the extras of your liking and bring on the bacon. voila'

lesson 2: sex, sex, sex

There's a store on chapman highway that I think everyone in a 100 mile radius of seymour is clearly aware of. It's the store that people borrow a car to go to, or rather go late so no one will see them. It's the store we, simply, pretend our parents dont go to...although we are dying to go ourselves.
So, have you been?
And if you have... did you put on the famous 'sex shop' pokerface.
I know i did. Suddenly you have to act super mature because you dont want people to know it's your first, second, or third time in one. It's that no matter how many times you go you feel like your face is blood red and you just want to giggle and crack jokes.
So to blend in, before you enter the store, you put on the sex shop pokerface. -That you and your friend browsing through vibrators is just a normal day out, and that you may have tried the sex swing numerous times before although you never have.
And although you cant stop thinking about the fact that a man old enough to be your grandpa is behind you, you still stay poised.
... Somehow... people are more mature than me.
lesson 1: the bus is your home.

Now i am going to attempt to explain the 'norwegian' stereotype.
May i begin with the first word, - *stuck-up*
Apparently Norwegians are snobbish people who chain-smoke, and spend most of their time being chased around by polar bears.
((Let me assure you, even though i track through a foot of snow to work each day, that i have never encoutered a polar bear.))
The sad truth is most of the 1.4 million people who live in oslo city are pretty stuck up.
Image, here, is everything.
The whole 'make yourself at home' statement is taken to another level. The thing is, naturally, a norwegian would act oddly nice while being a guest and never look through a cabinet or fridge; however, anything that is associated with their lifestyle becomes 'our own'. As in, my favorite daily activity... dun dun dun dun...Taking the bus.
I know we pay to ride the bus, tram, or subway, but that does not mean you own it.
Do not lay back, take up a row of seats, and make yourself the king. Save your nasty snot blowing for home, when you're in the mood to get it on with your boyfriend...get a room!, and please...I know you're badass and just came from the gym...but that gay techno you're listening to....it sucks.
So, if you're trying to blend in to this oslo fiesta, just lay back and own.
